Foods & Nutrition

Young Lady Baking For A Judge
 

The 4-H Food and Nutrition Program gives you the opportunity to learn how to prepare foods from around the world but also how to track your progress and keep financial records. Some things you could learn in the 4-H Food and Nutrition Program could include:

  • Food Preservation (including freezing, drying, and canning)
  • Food Safety and Sanitation
  • How to read and write your own recipies

During the course of the year there are several hands-on county level workshops on food-related topics. Some past workshops have included: Food Preservation, Cookie Baking, Valentine Candy, and Preparing for fair. Creations can be made and/or displayed at the county fair.
