Curt Moulton - Chair of the Snohomish County Extension Office

The Chair administers the office on behalf of WSU and Snohomish County.
This entails managing fiscal and personnel resources to maximize the
benefit of WSU Extension programs to the citizens of Snohomish County.
Curt has also held administrative positions in King and Pierce Counties
and has extensive experience in agricultural and environmental educational
programming.
Jana Ferris - 4-H Agent

The 4-H program reaches youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
There are both individual 4-H clubs in the County as well as group
enrollments through school enrichment. Club members are long term
members who work with projects in a club to develop life skills. School
enrichment members are short term programs designed to teach specific
skills and understanding.
School enrichment programs, in addition to Plants Grow Healthy Children
are:
- 1) River Salmon Tours
- 2) Stream and Nature Enhancement Projects
- 3) Natural Science Educational Programs.
Phoebe
Bachleda - 4-H Assistant

Phoebe promotes and implements 4-H participation through community
clubs, school enrichment and after-school programs. She assists volunteers
in providing a youth development program that focuses on helping youth
build life skills.
Gabrielle Roesch - 4-H Assistant

Gabrielle administers the County 4-H Natural Resource program , in-school enrichment and after-school programming that is
EALR appropriate based on experiential science. Her curriculum covers ecosystems, forests, wildlife, salmon and much, much more.
She works to build in life skills and the 4-H's into her programming.
Sharon J. Collman -- Community Horticulture

Sharon Collman,
WSU Snohomish County extension educator, has spent her career photographing
and teaching about insects, integrated pest management and plant problem
diagnosis in the Pacific Northwest. She has authored more than 75
articles and bulletins on these topics. She has won numerous awards
for her programs including Educator of the Year awarded by the Washington
State Nursery and Landscape Association. She invites you to join with
WSU Snohomish County Extension to
- strengthen the local “grower to garden” connection
- change how we manage pests
- improve our practices to sustain our gardens and landscapes,
- protect water and environmental quality, and
- document our insect biodiversity in Snohomish County and the Puget
Sound Basin
Jan Rainsberger -- WSU Master Gardener Coordinator

Jan is WSU Master Gardener Coordinator for Snohomish County, managing
dozens of volunteer MG's as well as setting up classes for new and
returning Master Gardeners.
Chrys Bertolotto -- WSU Beachwatcher Coordinator

Chrys coordinates the WSU Beachwatcher's
Program for Snohomish and Skagit Counties.
WSU Beachwatchers are professionally-trained volunteers dedicated
to protecting Puget Sound’s fragile
environment through education, research, public awareness and example.
Ned Zaugg - Extension Dairy Agent

Ned provides continuous educational programming to dairymen in NW
Washington, also statewide on an on-call basis. Ned's major responsibilities
include serving as director of the WSU Skagit Co. Extension office.
He contributes articles to the State-wide dairy newsletter. Ned cooperates
with other agencies and businesses to provide educational materials
and events which address solutions to environmental concerns. He also
collaborates with animal industry organizations to provide educational
events for the general public. He is a member of the Western Dairy
Management Conference Planning Committee. His 4-H training involves
4-H leaders and members throughout Washington to teach project skills,
safety around animals and operating farm equipment, as well at to
provide opportunities for personal achievement, leadership development
and participation in national youth educational events.
Colleen Fullmer - Food $ense Program Supervisor

Colleen works ¾-time as program supervisor. She has worked
with the program since its expansion in Snohomish County in July of
2000. She develops community collaborations, produces reports and
budgets which keep the program expanding and serving the food stamp
eligible residents of Snohomish County.
Susie Craig – Nutrition Faculty Advisor to Food $ense
Susie serves as an advisor to the Food $ense program team
in Snohomish County. She also supervises the Extension Family and
Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in both King and Snohomish Counties.
She has been with us since July 2004. She is also nationally known
for her work on a food safety/handwashing project called “Germ
City”.
Kathy
Gilman -Food $ense Educator

Kathy is half-time, grant funded, program assistant who teaches
nutrition to preschool through senior aged participants in Snohomish
County. She specializes in work with seniors and ELL populations.
She has worked with Food $ense since 1999.
Kevin Zobrist -- Forestry
kzobrist@wsu.edu
Kevin is the Forest Stewardship Educator for Snohomish and Skagit Counties.
Programs include forest stewardship "Coached Planning" short courses, workshops on a variety of forestry topics, interpretive programs, and one-on-one technical assistance for landowners. Kevin has a BS in Forest Management and an MS in Forest Economics, both from the University of Washington. Before joining WSU Extension, Kevin held a research appointment at the University of Washington working on improving technology transfer to forest landowners and developing forest management strategies to better integrate biodiversity and economic objectives.
Dave Pehling - Extension Analyst

Dave has program responsibilities in entomology, native plant identification,
plant pathology, natural history, 4-H Shooting Sports and vertebrate
pest management. His expertise is used in responding to questions
on these subjects as well as training Master Gardeners and Livestock
Advisors. Dave also provides technical assistance in installing, maintaining
and training in computer usage for Extension staff, is network administrator
for the WSU Snohomish County office, webmaster for this
web site and interim webmaster of WSU Gardening in Western Washington
(http://gardening.wsu.edu) .
