April 26th – Silk Dyeing

Are you longing to have a shimmery, “Oh so special” silk scarf to wear, or give as a gift but a little shy on technique? This class is designed with you in mind. In this class Carla Peery will show you how easy it is to create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf, or dye any piece of silk. This is a hands-on class with samples for you to play with before you dye you very own scarf. Come and join the fun. All supplies and silk scarf included.
Note: dyes used are environmentally safe and no gloves or masks are needed.

Class limit: 25 students.
Ages 12 thru adult. No previous experience needed.

May 31st - Hand Embroidery

In this hand embroidery class you will be working with embroidery floss learning how to make embroidery stitches. There will be several techniques shown and trying out different threads for assorted effects.

Supplies:
Bring your sharpest small scissors for clipping threads and a 4 – 8-inch embroidery hoop. The Clothing & Textile Advisors will provide fabric and the use of a needle, patterns and threads.

Ages 8 thru adult.
Class minimum 3 and maximum 12 students.

June 23-27 & July 7-1 - Camp Stitch-A-Lot 2008

Open to all Girls and Boys ages 8 to 17 years of age
