Enhancing and Managing for Wildlife Habitat Workshop
November 12 & 14, 2009
Carnation and Issaquah
How can I attract more woodpeckers and owls? How tall a fence do I need to keep out deer? What can I do to protect my animals from bear and cougar?
Learn to create habitat while reducing wildlife conflicts. Learn from experts on topics ranging from creating a wildlife plan for your property, creating snags, bat ecology and installing bat boxes, enhancing nesting habitat, and living with mammals. Visit a local property to see wildlife features in place and in progress.
The restoration workshop is offered in collaboration with a King County and Partnership for Rural King County project and is funded through an Environmental Protection Agency grant.
